Students should ideally be able to demonstrate at least two years choral experience with a recognised national-level choir, such as the Australian Girls’ Choir, the National Boys’ Choir or similar. For singers, we are looking for experienced choristers with excellent pitch. Singers who can also play a band or orchestral instrument, or piano, would be looked upon favourably. Choral applicants are required to submit a one-minute video recording (in .mov, .mp4 or .avi format) of the applicant’s singing only as part of the application. Recordings need not be professional quality; a 60-second video taken on a smartphone will be fine. The files should be emailed directly to scholarships@yvg.vic.edu.au with child’s name and DOB once you have completed scholarships registration with Edutest.
